Louise received her training certification in Hatha Yoga at Sheridan College Institute in Oakville, Ontario under the guidance of Sharon Bateman and Elizabeth Spence. She received her Meditation Facilitator training and Kundalini/Chakra training through the Naturality School under the guidance of Jivasu, Pradeep Kumar and Mira, Mojdeh Rostami. As a member of Canadian Yoga Alliance, Yoga Alliance (USA), and Yoga Alliance International, Louise’s instruction meets the high unifying standards of these alliances.

“Looking back, I realize that I have been practicing different forms of yoga for most of my life. “

Her earliest exposure to yoga was at age five, practising with her mother in their living room, and throughout her life she has explored the holistic connection of body, mind and spirit through the study of meditation, dance, martial arts, nutrition and healing. For 12 years, she expressed her creativity through body movement in formal ballet training. She studied tai chi, qigong and kabbalah, acquired her Nia dance Teacher’s Certification from Roberta Mohler in Toronto, and her Reiki Masters in the Tibetan-Usui system of natural healing.  Louise continues to deepen her yoga practice by attending on-going workshops, classes and courses, fostering sensitivity to the spirit and a committed compassion for others.

“I wanted to share the joy that yoga, meditation and dance brought to my life… and so I began to teach.”

Louise has given courses at the Royal Botanical Gardens, U of T Mississauga Campus, Eagle Ridge Community Center in Mississauga, The Good Shepherd in Hamilton, YMCA New Women To Canada Group in Hamilton, Waterdown YMCA, and at her From The Heart Yoga studio located in the beautiful escarpment of Waterdown. As a volunteer instructor for various women’s shelters Louise has worked to encourage confidence and compassion, and to enhance the rich gifts of life and health.
